Ken Barnes

Director of Engineering

Ken served 11 years as an electrician in the US Navy on a destroyer, shore duty at Trident Refit Facility in Washington state, and on a US Carrier. He started his professional career as an electrical drafter for an OEM in the oil and gas industry while attending the University of Phoenix completing his B.S in information technology focusing on software engineering and a master’s in information systems. Some of his professional projects included automating mobile oilfield equipment such as a liquid nitrogen system converting liquid nitrogen to a high-pressure gas. Ken continued his work in automation as an engineering manager and a director of controls and automation managing a team located in the US and Canada.

Ken joined Re:Build DAPR Engineering Austin to lead the expansion into Texas, heading up our first satellite office. He will focus on his skills in project management, automation, equipment design, and business development. Outside of work, Ken enjoys spending time with his family and spoiling his granddaughter. Other interests include watching hockey, college football, and tinkering with small projects.
